The Goals of the Institute are to:

1. Provide expertise to crime prevention programs and agencies in the community.

2. Provide expertise to criminal justice agencies and community groups that assist high risk youth.

3. Conduct research that will have a major impact on the community-at-large.

4. To work or network with organizations, associations, agencies, religious groups, and educational institutions in the implementation of their goals and objectives.

5. To provide conference and training seminars on current issues that affect the quality of life in the community or community-at-large.

The demand for quality criminal justice personnel and the involvement of the community-at-large to get involved in the prevention of crime is greater today that at any other time in history.  The escalation of crime in all communities requires the participation of all, what affects one community has a major impact of all communities, the nation, and the world.

We recognize through education, conferences, and training that goals can be achieved. These goals address worthwhile traditional and contemporary issues that are within our proximity.

We also recognize that a lot can be accomplished through networking with the community-at-large to prepare for the next millennium.
